The Upgrade From First-Generation WPC
Early WPC cladding products used a PE surface layer - adequate for sheltered applications, but prone to fading, chalking, and surface cracking after prolonged sun exposure. The shift to ASA co-extrusion changes this fundamentally.
ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) was developed specifically for outdoor polymer applications where PE and PVC fall short. It maintains color stability and surface integrity under sustained UV load, temperature cycling, and direct rain exposure - the exact conditions that degrade standard WPC panels within five to eight years.
This third-generation panel places an ASA co-extruded layer on both faces of the WPC core, doubling the protective coverage and extending rated outdoor service life to 30 years.
Panel Structure
Three distinct layers work together in each board:
Outer ASA Co-Extruded Layer: UV-stable, weather-resistant surface on both faces. Resists fading, chalking, and surface oxidation. Chemical resistance to acids, alkalis, and common solvents.
Polymer Composite Middle Layer: High-density WPC compound providing structural rigidity, load-bearing capacity, and dimensional stability across temperature ranges.
Reinforced Core Structure: Hollow or solid core geometry depending on profile, engineered to balance weight reduction with mechanical strength.

Installation Notes
Hidden fastener clips engage the panel profile on both edges, holding each board securely without face-fixing screws or exposed fastener heads. Start clips set the alignment for the first course; subsequent boards click into sequence. Self-drilling screws fix clips to the subframe. Compatible with timber or steel stud substrates. Panels can be cut to length on site with standard circular saw equipment.
